摘要∶经过四十多年，特别是改革开放三十年的发展，中国金刚石及其制品的科研、生产和应用已经形成一个较为完整的工业体系。金刚石及其制品(或工具)在国民经济建设中的地位与作用日显重要。可是，超硬材料作为中国机床工具工业协会旗下的一个分会的局限性与弊端已经显现。从中国金刚石材料工业的又好又快的科学发展的大局出发，我们认为，组建《中国金刚石工业协会》的条件已经具备，时机已经成熟，应该与时俱进了!

Establishment of 《China Diamond Industrial Association》is Imperative
Abstract: the scientific research, production and application of Diamond and its products have formed a relatively complete industrial system in China with the development of four tens years, especially three tens years of Reform and Opening. Diamond and its products (tools) become more important in national economic construction. However, the limitation and disadvantage that Superhard Material Association is a branch of China Machine Tool and Tool Builders’ Association have emerged. From the whole situation of scientific development, we believe that establishment of 《China Diamond Industrial Association》 to promote the sound and fast development of China diamond material industry is imperative and the conditions and opportunities are currently mature. We should keep pace with the times.

同一个绚丽多彩的金刚石世界，同一个惟妙惟肖的金刚石梦想，让我们用智慧、辛劳来共同构筑金刚石时代的美好未来，实现人类对物质文明追求的最高愿望和目标!同仁们奋斗吧!金刚石的时代曙光正在冉冉升起。
引言
钻石(Diamond)，又叫金刚石，有人说，金刚石是上帝给人类的恩赐，在自然界极为稀有，最早在印度被发现，主要产地在非洲、俄罗斯等。我国是个金刚石资源稀有的国家，为满足我国蓬勃发展的国民经济之需求，必须走好人工合成之路。天然金刚石资源是不可再生的，开采一点少一点，而人工合成的金刚石则是取之不尽，用之不竭的。
当今用于金刚石合成的主流超高压装置，一是以西方国家为代表的“两面顶”，另一则是以中国为代表的“六面顶”。我们用“六面顶”不仅能商业化生产与国外同类水平的高品级金刚石,而且也可培育出宝石级金刚石，从而打破了只有“两面顶”能生产高品级金刚石的神话，改写“六面顶”注定只能生产中、低档金刚石的历史。[
